Here comes Baby Tribbie!
Thursday, September 25, 2008 at 11:41 AM Wow! I can't believe how fast time flies!! It feels like just a short time ago I met Jennifer & Tim Tribbie. The idea was to simply document the growth and progression of Jennifer's pregnancy. But "simply" is the absolute wrong word! What began as a fun documentary project for me, has developed into a great friendship and an attachment to a family that I look forward to watch (and photograph) grow for years and years to come!
Here's the gist of the project: We scheduled a short session at the beginning of every month to photograph her growing belly. These sessions were short and sweet, and usually ended with me filling Jennifer in on the crazy antics of me and my children :)
We also had two maternity sessions. The first can be seen here, the 2nd, I photographed just this past weekend, and I will share some of those photos very soon! I accompanied Jennifer and her FABULOUS Mother on a fun Baby-shopping trip, seen here. And I also attended TWO of Jennifer's baby showers hosted by her wonderful Mother-in-law and gracious Aunt (I just LOVE this entire family!!).
The project will come to climax NEXT WEEK when Jennifer & Tim's beautiful baby is born. I am so blessed and honored to be able to be there to witness and document this AMAZING event in their lives. I can't express how much it means to me to be invited into such a private and monumental time. I can't wait!! The project will then conclude about a week or so after Baby Tribbie is born, with a Newborn portrait session. I will then compile all of the photos into a beautiful, custom-designed Art book that I'm positive the Tribbies will cherish for a lifetime.
I originally had the idea for a project like this a few years ago, and I'm so glad that I have been able to actually do this. It is more rewarding and fulfilling for me than I ever could have imagined. And it is equally meaningful for this wonderful family to have this very important time in their lives professionally recorded.
I would absolutely LOVE to do this for another family, so if you, or anyone you know is interested in a Belly~to~Baby Package, please contact me for the various options, details, and pricing information.

This is so cool. I wish I'd thought to do this with my pregnancies. Although, truthfully, I wasn't nearly as cute, lol. Did the girl get a single stretch mark?!
I love these photos....great work! And keeping the clothing consistent REALLY shows the progression! Thanks for sharing!
WOW THAT IS SO COOL! I love love love it! I don't think I've ever seen anything like that and hope to remember to document my own pregnancies in this manner one day! What an absolute treasure.
Oh, ps, I clicked on the link for her slideshow but it says page not found. Great job!
Thanks so much!!
Jen~~ absolutely PERFECT skin :)
Kay~~ yes I thought by using the same clothing throughout it would really accentuate her growth. If that were ME, however, I would have outgrown the outfit my week 20 ;)
Terra~~ I fixed the link....thanks for letting me know :)
This is a great idea! I love it! I'm hoping to snag a newly pregnant mother and try this myself. I'm really struggling with a good name though.
What a fine series over this pregnancy. Most only get a near term shot, but this makes a fabulous record. Well done!
This is a super cute idea with the same pose same outfit. I can't wait to see more ie: baby.
